Austin-based filmmaker Bradley Beesley was named one of Filmmaker Magazine's "Top 25 Independent Filmmakers" in 2002. In 2001 Bradley completed his award-winning PBS documentary Okie Noodling, which continues to have encore broadcasts across the country. He made his first documentary, the festival favorite, Hill Stomp Hollar in 2000. In addition to directing documentaries Bradley has worked as a director and director of photography on many commercials and music videos. His long-term collaboration with the Grammy award winning Flaming Lips includes co-directing/DP nine of their music videos and acting as Director of Photography on the sci-fi narrative feature Christmas on Mars. He recently completed his feature length documentary Fearless Freakin‚ with the Flaming Lips, which includes 10 years of documenting the band and will be available on DVD in the Spring of 2005. He is currently directing a new project for ITVS, The Creek Runs Red and is in postproduction on a summer camp documentary that he co-directed with Sarah Price (American Movie).
